(((O))) OUTPOST Flørli / Rimi/Imir SceneKunst – RISK
Time length: 2 types of time:
• ongoing: picking vintage rubbish from the ground
• 1 hour each day all 3 days (anytime) in order to build the sculptures of the found materials
People are invited to join
The subject:
– Pick garbage from the landscape: until 1999, Flørli was a water power industrial community. The processing of the garbage consisted in digging a hole to tip the wastes into. Like in other isolated places at that time, dealing with waste was not always very precise and today, waste particles can be found around the place popping up between moss and stones. This material is of historical value. Through the garbage, one can dive in the history. The material pops up at the surface of the ground, pushed up by the ice. Mackerel cans from a canning factory shut down in 1984 can be found…
– Shape a sculpture from the waste material found and create, a sculpture to be balanced on the head. The person balancing the sculpture becomes the base for the sculpture.
– Walk in the landscape, a sculpture balancing on the head, in the light of the low sun ray at the edge of the rising of the horizon called also the sunset.
Or, just set up the material on top of each other balancing on a chosen base and take a photo.

Performancen har to deler:
– Pågående: plukke ‘vintage’ søppel fra bakken
– Én time hver dag bygges det skulpturer av materialet som er funnet
Publikum inviteres til å bli med på begge delene.
Plukke søppel fra landskapet: Flørli var frem til 1999 et industrielt samfunnsfellesskap grunnet vannkraft. Prosesseringen av søppelet bestod i å grave hull i bakken hvor søppelet ble dumpet. Som på andre isolerte steder på denne tiden var metoden for håndtering av søppel ikke veldig gjennomtenkt, og man kan derfor den dag i dag finne søppel og rest partikler fra denne tiden som popper opp mellom mose og steiner. Dette materialet har historisk verdi. Ved å se på denne søpla kan man dykke ned i historien. Materialet som kommer til syne på overflaten av bakken, har blitt presset opp av isen. Man kan finne makrellbokser fra en blikkboks fabrikk som ble lagt ned i 1984…
-Form en skulptur med søppel-materialet som finnes, og skap skulpturer som kan balanseres på hodet. Personen som balanserer skulpturen blir skulpturens sokkel.
-Vandre i landskapet- med skulpturen balanserende på hodet, i lyset fra de lavtliggende solstrålene på kanten av den stigende horisonten, også kalt solnedgangen.
Eller, bare sett materialene oppå hverandre slik at de balanserer på en valgt base, og ta et bilde.

‘DUO – Jarnac bridge’ over the bridge of the river Charente, France
‘2 sculpture on 2 living bases’
The plastic sculpture is created with bits of toys looking-like-weapons by Marlene Rom Rysstad, student (Art school of Stavanger (Norway) in residence.For more info about this sculpture see SPIR@L
The wood sculpture is created of branches (held together by the tension they create between themselves) picked in the woods around the city of Bilbao (Spain) during a residency stay at the Bilbao Arte foundation in 2009.
Performance on the Zubizuri bridge in Bilbao 2009
Both sculptures are solely hold by gravity on the living bases, Marlene Rom Rysstad and Anges Btffn, walking back and forth on the bridge as the horizon rises before the sun also called the sun set.

A sculpture on a living base:
duration: 30 mn to 60 mn, variable depending of the setting.
The artist’s body, is covered with a blood-red silk material. As a living base to a sculpture shaped of broken toys looking-like-weapons balancing on the head, she walks in a spiral movement.
The walking is slow and silent. It can happen that the artist makes sounds with her voice.
The spiral is drawn on the ground by a material adapted to the space, which does no set marks. like earth, chalk, flour etc .

En skulptur, en levende sokkel:
varighet: 30 til 60 mn, varierer ifølge sted og omgivelser
Kunstnerens naken kropp, er dekket av et blodrød silke stoff. Som den levende sokkel til en skulptur utformet av leketøy som ser ut som våpen, balanserende på hode, spaserer hun fritt i forhold til en spiral tegnet på gulvet.
Vandringen er rolig og foregår i stillhet. Dog kan det forekomme at kunstneren lager lyder med stemmen.
Spiralen tegnes av et material som ikke setter spor, skaft i relasjon med stedets og kan være jord, kritt, mel e.l. .

“Kroppen er sentral og performance gjennomføres med et minimum med utstyr. Tema for performance tegner seg innenfor meta arbeidet «TwixT». Navnet et hentet fra gammel engelsk og betyr «mellom».
Jeg tenker på hvordan, i en familje, enkelte barn lærer seg å være usynlige, en overlevelses strategi i en krevende familje mønster.
Jeg tenker også på et menneske som forflytter sin kropp fra et land til et annet, som er stadig i bevegelse i sin søken etter sted det kan få leve/eksistere. Noen steder på sin flykt, lærer flyktningen seg å være usynlig for å kunne klare å komme seg videre gjennom fiendtlige omgivelser. Jeg utforsker denne motsetningen det innebærer å gjøre Selvet, Jeget, kroppen usynlig så at den skall kunne EKSISTERE ta plass.
Jeg har jobbet over lengre tid med dette og nyere prosjekter innebærer denne dimensjonen, dvs kroppen eller mennesket eller meg som befinner seg i mellom noe og noe.. mellom det synlig og det usynlig, «twixt» materialitet og i-materialitet osv. …
Leiligheten er et sted for intimitet, et hjem barnet bør finne beskyttelse i, et hjem som den flyktende drømmer om.
For PAB Lokalt dvs i Leiligheten ser jeg for meg gangen, som er en passage der jeg vil bevege meg mellom synlighet og usynlighet. Jeg har en ide, men trenger å arbeide videre med det, før jeg finner en passende form.” Agnes Btffn

Agnes Btffn and Nemer Sartawi, created a three hours long Performance improvisation “out sourced” in each their living place, Flørli in the Lysefjord Norway and Sarta Palestine, in participation to Performance art Bergen’s project, PAB Open.
A group of artist created a three hours long Performance improvisation on one of the seven mountains close to city of Bergen.
The audience were welcome to participate in both Sarta and Flørli.

“La terre. L’eau rencontre toujours sa limite, la frontière de la terre. La terre hospitalière s’entoure de l’eau qui à la fois l’enferme et désigne d’autres horizons, la ligne d’une autre terre, espérée, redoutée.”

« Ainsi, toute forme, et c’est fondamental, n’est qu’un état de forme, mais il est des états instables, qui ne s’installent pas, qui glissent dans une sorte de fondu enchaîné permanent, et des états provisoirement stabilisés : ce sont ceux là qu’en règle générale on considère comme des formes, du moins en tant que celles-ci correspondraient à des types, inscrivant comme telles, au sein de la variation infinie, la puissance de l’invariant. Mais pourtant ces états stabilisés d’apparence inerte sont eux-mêmes la trace, ou, plutôt, la mémoire emboutie de leur formation ». (p. 32)
